Ms. Bryant's home was at the epicenter of the civil rights actions in McComb, Mississippi in the early 1960's where she supported dozens of activists including Medgar Evers. She is the wife of the late C.C. Bryant, the NAACP local leader during the voting rights drive. A more comprehensive summary of Mrs. Bryant's story will be written by McComb students in the near future.
